Aquastrip is a flexible, watertight sealing strip for precast, designed for the perfect sealing of concrete joints. It’s used in many different types of precast unit including box-culverts and all sizes of manhole ring. Tested to international standards, Aquastrip is easy to apply and ensures durable sealing, even under high pressure. Aquastrip is an easy to use and cost-effective sealing strip for precast. It is formulated for greater flexibility (even at low temperatures) and has unrivalled technical properties, with high temperature stability, elongation and adhesion.
Aquastrip is a polymer modified, bituminous compound, incorporating temperature extenders. It is supplied in roll form and is simply rolled out on site and applied to one side of the concrete joint. The second concrete unit is then placed against the first and the joint compresses to approx. half it’s original size, creating a strong and flexble joint seal. Aquastrip can be used in conjunction with KOSTER KBE Primer for increased adhesion.
Tested to BS, EN, ISO, DIN and ASTM Standards, Aquastrip provides a flexible and watertight joint sealing against pressures in excess of 5.0 bar. Aquastrip ensures your joints remain watertight, even after settlement.

Aquastrip is made in a wide range of cross sections, designed to seal all types and sizes of joint in manholes, inspection chambers, ogee pipes and box culverts.
Aquastrip has a wide temperature range with excellent flexibility, this makes application easier especially during periods of cold weather.
Aquastrip has excellent resistance to sulphates, many acids, alkalis, salts, groundwater, trade effluent, grease and micro-organisms. However, Aquastrip will not provide long term resistance against undiluted hydrocarbons, such as fuel or strong solvents.
AQUASTRIP enables the contractor to install watertight manholes, inspection chambers, drainage pipelines and culverts quickly and economically without the need for in-situ concrete surrounds while still meeting full life cycle durability requirements.

Plasto elastic properties and high adhesion provide a permanent watertight seal during and after settlement, ground movement, side loadings etc. as required by BS EN 752-3
In manholes Aquastrip meets the CESWI Civil Engineering specification for the water industry 7th Edition (UKWIR Ltd) and “Sewers for adoption”, 5th edition (WRC Plc).
In Box Culverts Aquastrip meets the joint sealant requirements of CIRIA (Construction Industry Research and Information Association) Culvert Design Guide 2010 .
