Aquastrip bitumen joint sealing strip demonstrates a sealing performance of 10 times greater than the min. requirements of BS EN1917. It is also clean to handle and more flexible
than leading competitors.

Technical Properties

Aquastrip is designed to give the highest possible adhesion performance, combined with good flexibility and stability.

Primer – KBE Liquid Film

For priming the joints of precast concrete manholes, inspection chambers, box-culverts and pipes prior to the applications of AQUASTRIP bitumen joint sealing strip. Koster KBE Liquid Film is a solvent free, bitumen rubber concentrate.

  • For priming of pre-cast concrete elements dilute 1 : 2 with clean water.
  • Penetrates the surface of concrete joint faces so as to provide a water barrier.
  • Dries to form a surface coating which seals the substrate / sealant interface and creates an adhesive bond to AQUASTRIP.
KBE Liquid Film is recommended as a primer prior to placement of the bitumen joint sealing strip
